Think Pink

This year was my 25th birthday, and what a time to not celebrate. But amid everything going on right now I figured the least I could do was to find little joys throughout the weekend. I didn't end up going to the Saville Dam like I mentioned in my last post, which came down to just being in the mood for something smaller and my ever so kind monthly visitor. What I did do: spent (limited) time on my actual birthday with a glass of wine and my best friend, received some homemade birthday cupcakes from my other best friend, treated myself to socially distant takeout from one of my favorite restaurants Tallulah's Taqueria, and of course enjoyed the spring blooms while shooting this outfit.

My favorite detail of this outfit is probably the smallest, but before I even go there can I tell you about this duster?? I thrifted it a couple months back at a Goodwill in Boston. The first thing that caught my eye was a beautiful, simple lapel, and the second was the length -- I thought it might be a blazer at first but the full length made it so cool to me. But what truly made me take it home were the pink buttons. Blush, mauve, millennial pink, whatever you want to call it, but that small detail of one of my favorite colors is what made this a special pick for me.
It's also what built this outfit in a way; throwing this duster over a lace bodysuit that matched the exact rosy color was an easy pair.

What I'm Wearing
