It's quite a confounding experience being thrust into a "new normal" every day. Things are changing so rapidly and there's so much to say that there's almost nothing to say -- just actions to adjust to and rules to abide by. I realize that I'm speaking from a place of pretty immense privilege right now; I've lost minimal income due to COVID-19, I'm a young person with a strong immune system, and there are people for whom this lack of predictability day-to-day is the normal occurrence.
But even being mandated to stay home has proven to throw many of us for several loops. I'm combatting that feeling by keeping even the most simple routine, and enjoying the Spring, even in quarantine.

On the lowest of keys, the trend I've been most excited about for Spring is puff sleeves. I've been watching a ton of Karen's (of Where Did U Get That) Youtube channel, getting slowly riled up and inspired by both her enthusiasm and balloon-sleeved frocks and well...here we are. This Femme Luxe top was a perfect choice for me; I love any playful white top, but this one was special because the detail is primarily in the sleeves. That takes a potentially challenging top to style and marries it to a basic mock neck top, which slyly makes it as easy to pair as the latter.
I'd alternatively love to see this top paired with another style of jeans I've been eyeing from Femme Luxe's current collection, i.e. this high waist boyfriend style. You could always cuff the jeans to expose some ankle, but I'd really like the fitted waist and slightly wider hem fit with this top.
