3.1 Phillip Lim x Target Wishlist

By now, we should all be familiar with the high end-middle end collaborations that the fashion world has thrown at us. (Re: Missoni, Jason Wu, and Prabal Gurung (respectively) for Target, Target x Neiman Marcus Holiday 24, Versace for H&M, the list goes on). Yet somehow--somehow-- I was still surprised.
The collection, which debuted yesterday, comes with a comfortable play on classics, like this sweater dress and these trench coats. My eyes didn't bug out for most of the collection, but where the silhouettes dropped the ball, the prints and accesories swiftly picked it up.
My favorite pieces had to be the bags. Bless Phillip Lim for offering his gorgeous Pashli (or an inspired version) to those of us with the small budgets. I almost fell bank account-over-heels for the mini, but instead decided to be good and keep it for my wishlist.
This leather jacket is also worth very special mention; I always love the use of navy rather than black as a dark neutral. All I want is to pair it with a lightweight sweater, the cream shorts from the lingerie set above, some chunky socks, and the Chelsea boots (also above). Knot the scarf over my hair and I'm all set!

Tell me, what do you think of 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target?
