I was really happy with today's outfit! I'm not usually very into the typical preppy style, but I feel like I was channeling it with this outfit. The Dooney & Bourke inspired bag, the nautical shorts, the lace top, and definitely the round glasses with red lips.
The sunnies were mentioned in a recent post (which I got lots of love on; thank you! <3) and they were $6 from Pacsun. I got this bag for just $13 from a thrift shop! It's one of my favorites but I hardly get to wear it. The shorts are from Forever 21 (for $12 I believe), the cardigan is my brother's and it's from PacSun. The lace top is actually a lace mini dress from Charlotte Russe that ended up being a bit too mini (sad face). The owl necklace was given to me as a birthday present and those lovely mary jane oxfords are Steve Madden and I got them from Journey's.
Also! Here's the good news. I went downtown and talked to the owner of this great little shop called For Veda and basically asked her what motivated her to go that direction, considering that I'd love to do that with my future (except with my own collections). We talked for a bit and she seems awesome! We discussed possibly interning or me working with her which would be absolutely wonderful. I'm really hopeful for that. Otherwise, there's potential with me working at Panera, which is one of my favorite places to be so I'm definitely hoping for that as well! <3
